So you have decided to go solar and now want the take the next step – purchasing solar cells. They can be expensive to buy at the outset, but they are well worth the savings in the medium to long term. Not just monetary savings either, but real energy savings which benefit your wallet and the planet at the same time.
Basically you have three options: contact a company that will assemble and install everything for you, you can buy a kit and install it yourself, or you can start from scratch and assemble the system yourself. Obviously the last will be the cheapest, but may also cause the most headaches.
Really, what you decide on is up to you, and what you want your solar cells to do. For example if you want to provide enough power to charge your car battery, then you will need a different setup than those who want to power their homes. There is plenty of information, hints, tips and tricks out there for those who want to go it alone – and there are some awesome solar cell kits out there for people to start from scratch.
Back to the matter at hand though – and that is finding solar cells for sale. For new solar cells you will probably get the best deal by shopping online. You will be able to choose from a wide variety of cells and options and the savings will be considerably better than walking into a solar store or department store. Really – shop around and see for yourself – you can get some great savings with some great shopping. The bonus about buying your new solar cells online is that there will often be specials and other equipment which you didn’t know you needed – available online.
The next options is to find used solar cells for sale. I’ve found some great deals by attending government auctions, where cells and other handy equipment which is in great condition is being sold off due to being surplus to requirements, or confiscated by law enforcement officials – or for whatever other reason. It’s all irrelevant to me, because the savings are great for equipment which is often in decent condition or in need of just minor repair.
Just remember that although it may be more expensive to buy new solar cells, you will get a warranty on the product, and if there are any difficulties you can return the product for replacement or refund (check with your supplier). When you buy online, you can usually get free delivery on solar products – just enquire!
